Residential Window Work in Medina
Medina is a homeowner town. Most of our work is on owner-occupied houses, from starter ranches off Route 18 to century homes around the square. Families here care about three things: keeping the heat in, cutting the street noise, and getting windows that open and close without a fight.
If more than half your Medina home's windows have failed seals or foggy glass, replacing them all at once costs less per opening than doing them one at a time. We phase the work by floor so you are never without a window overnight.
One cracked pane or one foggy kitchen window does not mean you need a whole-house job. We match the profile and color as close as the manufacturer allows and install it in about two hours, with the same flashing and sealing detail as a full job.
Double hung units fit the older two-story homes around the Medina square, where tilt-in sashes make cleaning possible without a ladder. Casements seal tighter against the wind-driven rain on the west side of town.
A lot of Medina homes need the sill fixed before the window goes in. We cut out the rot, splice in treated lumber, and set the new unit on a sill pan so it is not sitting in water. We do not install over soft wood.
- Lower heating bills in January when the low-E glass and air sealing actually hold the heat in.
- Quieter rooms on the Route 18 and Route 3 corridors where traffic noise comes through old single-pane glass.
- Windows that open, tilt, and lock with one hand instead of sticking and fighting you every spring.
