01
Measure and Quote
We measure the rough opening, check the frame for rot, and confirm the operator side you want. You get a written quote with the window model, glass package, and install date. Most estimates take 30 to 45 minutes, and we do not charge for them.
02
Order and Stage
We order your units from Andersen, Pella, Marvin, or Simonton depending on the series you pick. Standard sizes arrive in 10 to 14 days; custom sizes run three to five weeks. We call you the day the windows land at our shop and lock in the install date.
03
Tear Out and Prep
On install day we lay drop cloths, pull the old sash and frame, and inspect the rough opening. Any rotted sill or header gets cut out and replaced. Then we set a sill pan, run flashing tape, and check the opening with a level before the new unit goes in.
04
Set, Shim, and Seal
We set the window on setting blocks, shim it plumb and square, and drive screws through the nailing fin. Expanding foam fills the gap, then we trim and caulk the interior and exterior with a bead that flexes with Ohio temperature swings. The operator gets tested through a full open-and-close cycle.
05
Test and Walkthrough
We check the lock, the crank tension, and the weep holes, then water-test the exterior seam. You walk the job with us, and we show you how to clean the track and adjust the operator. The site is broom-clean before we pull out of the driveway.
